Two Sigma Securities is a growing business that is expanding its global footprint. We are seeking a hardworking, driven individual to join Two Sigma Securities’ accounting team in London. The role offers opportunities to collaborate with several teams within the company, including Trading, Operations, Technology, Legal/Compliance and Treasury.

You will take on the following responsibilities:

  • Ensure complete, accurate and timely month end closure and reporting
  • Maintain internal books and records
  • Prepare VAT and Corporation Tax schedules for quarterly/annual tax filings
  • Prepare the annual statutory accounts in accordance with UK GAAP and liaise with auditors
  • Report and manage daily liquidity
  • Assist in the production of financial regulatory filings and calculation of the Firm’s regulatory capital requirements
  • Research and analyze the accounting/finance impacts that arise from the firm’s new business initiatives or strategies
  • Identify areas for operational improvements and establish efficiencies and enhancements of reporting through automation
  • Maintain a strong financial and operational control environment, implementing robust financial controls and procedures as required
  • Oversee other cost-related duties (Accounts payable, Group service charges etc)
  • Ad-hoc projects/tasks as required

You should possess the following qualifications:

  • 5-8 years of public and/or private experience in broker dealers and/or asset management firms
  • Bachelor’s degree with a strong academic record required
  • CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualification
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently within a team structure
  • Strong interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent organisational, analytical and problem solving skills with strong attention to detail
  • Proficient with Excel, possessing the ability to develop efficient and controlled procedures
  • The role requires a hands-on approach
