The Business Analytics and Expansion team provides decision support across a range of strategic initiatives, with a focus on financial modeling and statistical analysis. The work leverages data and metrics to provide transparency, evaluate business drivers, and quantify impacts to the firm.
Successful candidates will have the opportunity to shape and influence the growth and strategy of the firm through insightful, data-driven analyses.
Apply a combination of data science and financial analysis to ensure the success of business decisions, specifically through the use of statistics to understand sensitivities of business drivers
Generate long/short term financial projections of capital flows across all areas within the firm
Gather insights and business intelligence to be escalated to drive change
Acquire competitive intelligence through market research
Prepare and deliver presentations of observations and conclusions to senior management
Translate complex datasets and metrics trends into comprehensive and actionable proposals
Develop relationships across the organization to enhance collaboration and develop insights, particularly with Modelling, Engineering, Investor Relations, Accounting & Tax, HR Analytics, and broader Business Development functions
Coordination across large-scale projects by representing team in cross-functional meetings and reporting back to the group
Develop action plans, and actively follow up with responsible parties, in order to facilitate the progress of time-sensitive initiatives
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, etc.)
1+ years of work experience performing quantitative or business analytics
Experience with programming languages (ex. Python, Java, C/C++) is a plus
Previous experience or academic knowledge of statistics (Monte Carlo, regressions)
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Highly analytical and quantitative mindset
Experience manipulating large financial data sets and drawing observations
Collaborative, resourceful, and experienced with project management
