AlphaStudio is an internal start-up within Two Sigma (across Modeling and Engineering) that aims to engage and collaborate with top scientific talent from around the world on problems relevant to investment research. As our goal is to build a global elastic workforce, the talent component of this effort is central to the success of AlphaStudio’s mission.

As the Talent lead for this exciting initiative, you will play a critical role in building and scaling this new effort and fostering a positive, collaborative culture that leads to meaningful and productive research. We expect this individual to  be entrepreneurial, driven and results-oriented, as well as adept at creative problem-solving. The AlphaStudio Talent lead will be responsible for the overall Talent strategy, specifically driving and executing on the following talent goals:

Responsibilities

  • Identifying high-potential talent pools against business priorities by building an effective sourcing strategy and recruiting roadmap

  • Understanding the competitive landscape for top talent and developing effective strategies to compete successfully

  • Leading the sourcing, assessment, and recruiting of scientific talent including identifying top global talent at scale

  • Developing and implementing scalable end-to-end talent processes

  • Leading talent conversion from sourcing through recruiting to hire

  • Helping to onboard talent in alignment with business timeline and objectives

Qualifications

  • Broad recruiting/talent acquisition leadership experience, preferably combined with functional or industry knowledge of quantitative roles

  • 6+years of experience in a technical recruiting/talent acquisition management capacity

  • Experience managing and executing retained searches

  • Demonstrated success working in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, evolving environment, with a track record of meeting deliverables and measuring  business impact

  • Strong academic credentials, Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s Degree preferred
