The Corporate Platforms and Initiatives group at Two Sigma works with functional groups to design and implement scalable business processes and technology solutions to support the firm’s growth. We are looking to add an experienced business analyst / project manager who is passionate about taking our Risk Management platform to the next level of excellence.

You will take on the following responsibilities: 
  • Business analysis – conducting current state assessments (including identifying sources of data and ways to extract and visualize the information), developing future state processes, syndicating approach across teams, documenting business requirements, converting requirements to functional specifications for engineering teams, coordinating testing and launch, and taking ownership for ensuring that business objectives are achieved. 
  • Project management – leading partners with diverse agendas and across multiple locations, driving meetings (in person, virtual, hybrid), developing consensus, leading project schedules, and applying standard methodologies of project management. 
  • Program management – managing the project portfolio, helping drive business prioritization, supporting development of business and technical architecture, developing relationships with engineering and functional teams across Two Sigma, and helping in bidirectional translation between groups. 

You should possess the following qualifications: 
  • Minimum 1 year of experience required; preferred 7+ years of experience in the full lifecycle of business analysis/project management. 
  • BA/BS required
  • Experience working within risk management at hedge funds, prime brokers, consulting organizations, or FinTech firms focusing on multi-asset trading, portfolio management, and risk management. 
  • Must have an understanding of basic risk management concepts spanning market risk as well as systematic risks.
  • Experience producing comprehensive documentation (e.g., functional requirements, meeting notes, etc.) 
  • Ability to communicate at both a high level as well as detailed level across different organizational levels 
  • Experience working cross functionally as well as across multiple locations is a strong preference.

The base pay for this role is anticipated to be between $125,000 and $225,000. The anticipated base pay range is based on information as of the time this post was generated. This role may also be eligible for other forms of compensation and benefits, such as a discretionary bonus, health, dental and other wellness plans and 401(k) contributions. Discretionary bonus can be a significant portion of total compensation. Actual compensation for successful candidates will be carefully determined based on a number of factors, including their skills, qualifications and experience.
