We are seeking a business manager for our Data Strategy team, a critical role that will help to drive and execute new strategies across Two Sigma’s entire platform. You'll work with the research and business leads to determine and execute on their data-related priorities, manage the process of discovery, sourcing and onboarding of data, and help eliminate bottlenecks. You'll collaborate with the Data Strategy leadership and team leads to develop and improve processes, metrics and dashboards. You’ll partner with engineering to streamline operational efficiency and increase our productivity. Your contributions will directly influence, enable, and impact our firm at its core, shaping the data landscape and what role we play in its future.

You will take on the following responsibilities: 

  • Working directly with various Group Leads and team leads to develop key business processes and targets
  • Partnering with Modeling and other groups to build world-class Data Discovery platforms across the firm
  • Operationalizing functional activities and dependencies within the group that will lead to synergies to help strengthen collaboration
  • Creating our data-driven discovery strategy and building out related processes
  • Developing and communicating the group strategy to diverse sets of colleagues across the team, broader research groups, and engineering partners
  • Working closely with Data Strategy team to optimize impact
  • Collaborating cross functionally 
  • Managing a small team to drive and execute data strategies

You should possess the following qualifications:

  • 7 - 10 years of relevant working experience
  • Proven management skills 
  • An analytical and process-oriented approach to solving problems
  • Exceptional communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation) and ability to solve problems and inform decisions using a metrics-driven approach
  • Familiarity with quantitative finance, machine learning, and AI techniques is a plus
  • Strong project management and relationship management skills
  • Creative problem solver and results oriented with relentless follow through
