Two Sigma Securities is a growing business that is expanding its global footprint. We are looking for an experienced Finance professional to join our team. This role would be critical to supporting the firm’s expansion efforts and leading the UK finance and middle office functions in the London office.

You will take on the following responsibilities:

  • Serve as a local Finance and Operations lead for the TSS International expansion initiative

  • Assist with setting up TSS operations and defining the operating model for the global team in the UK, EU, and other countries

  • Build a strong local presence for the team, including hiring and training a competent group of individuals, defining and structuring their roles, responsibilities and tasks, and ongoing management of functions, processes, projects, and people

  • Act as the point person for the local regulators on topics involving IFRS, UK GAAP or regulatory reporting, capital and liquidity

  • Set up and maintain the ICAAP/ILAAP process for the UK FCA-registered legal entity

  • Responsible for sign-off, attestation, and ongoing monitoring of the international portfolio’s books & records and capital

  • Liaise with vendors, brokers, and regulators on issues relating to accounting and operations

  • Effectively partner with various cross-functional teams at TSS and the broader Two Sigma organization in New York and other locations

You should possess the following qualifications:

  • 7-10 years of experience with an emphasis on financial control and regulatory reporting at a large financial institution in the United Kingdom, preferably an investment bank or a non-bank 730k firm

  • Experience directly facing off with the regulators (FCA or PRA)

  • Solid understanding of UK GAAP and IFRS financial reporting standards

  • Working knowledge of financial instruments accounting, books & records and capital considerations; experience with derivative products preferred

  • Experience with UK/EU regulatory frameworks, including CRD IV, ICAAP, ILAAP, FINREP, COREP, Basel, MiFIR, EMIR et al

  • Familiarity with operations/middle office function at a large brokerage/trading firm

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Strong project management and organizational skills

  • Undergraduate degree in a business discipline (Finance or Accounting preferred)

  • Advanced degree or Chartered Accountant designation preferred but not required
