The Financial Planning & Analysis team provides decision support across a range of critical initiatives, with a focus on financial modeling and statistical analysis. The work uses data and metrics to provide transparency, evaluate business drivers, and quantify impacts to the firm. This role will have the opportunity to shape and influence the growth and strategy of the firm through insightful, data-driven analyses.

You will take on the following responsibilities:

Product Strategy

  • Evaluate and propose product design considerations, including: allocations/exposures to different portfolios / asset classes / regions, leverage and capital efficiency, risk and drawdown properties

  • Analyze implications of fund terms, such as liquidity, custom fee structures, and portfolio constraints such as position limits or turnover

  • Capacity management: work with portfolio managers to understand product performance and growth expectations to evaluate long range implications to capacity

Support the launch of new products

  • Market / Competitor research on product trends and benchmarking with our existing strategies

Capital Allocation

  • Build and maintain stochastic financial models used to analyze capital allocation and product design decisions

  • Apply portfolio theory to identify & propose recommendations on firmwide utility optimizing changes or tradeoffs, and follow through to implementation

  • Monitor firm cash flows along with client fund flows, and work with Investor Relations to ensure funds are at full occupancy and maximizing the usage of capacity

Portfolio Analytics

  • Develop & maintain code for automated real-time performance tracking and attribution tools

  • Analyze portfolio data to inform internal partners and drive change

  • Navigate and manage extensive datasets containing multi-dimensional time series portfolio data


  • Build relationships across the organization to improve collaboration and develop insights

  • Project Management - Coordination across large-scale projects by representing team in cross-functional meetings and taking ownership of Finance related workstreams

You should possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Economics, etc.)

  • Experience manipulating and performing analytics on large data sets in Pandas or similar data analytics tool

  • Tried understanding of statistics (Monte Carlo, regressions, distribution moments, risk aversion)

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Collaborative, resourceful, and experienced with project management
