Systems Engineering team at Two Sigma is looking for an experienced, creative, versatile, and highly technical engineering manager to lead our client platforms engineering efforts. These efforts involve solving the hard problems of developing integrated devices, applications, and services, in order to  enable engineers, modelers, and corporate users to be highly productive irrespective of location or connectivity options while maintaining security and control of our sensitive data at all times.


The Client Platforms Engineering team interacts with all business units within the firm globally to understand and capture their varied needs and partners with many teams in engineering, compliance, and security, as well as outside vendors to develop customized products to meet those needs. Engineers within the team have deep and broad skill set covering hardware, operating systems, virtualization, device and application management, security, networking, as well as systems development, scripting, and automation.


As the Client Platforms Engineering Manager, you will serve as product owner and team lead, working on building a talented team of engineers as well as managing a matrixed product development organization. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing desktop and mobile clients, leveraging expertise in build automation, application packaging, and device management of Windows 10, OS-X, Linux, iOS, and Android-based devices. In this role, you will be required to engage with the whole firm and partner with various teams in engineering, as well as external vendors, to define, own, and develop the vision and strategy for the next generation client platforms for the firm.


Qualifications:

  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field

  • 8+ years relevant work experience in systems engineering, reliability engineering or equivalent,

  • 3+ years experience managing engineering teams, preferably in a product development capacity

  • Good understanding of client platforms, Security, DLP, Networking, and MDM/MAM

  • Metrics driven, can draw insights from large data sets to improve product focus

  • Experienced designing and supporting user facing products and services
