Corporate Data Management Lead

We are looking for a strategic leader that will drive Two Sigma’s Corporate Data Platform to the next level. The Corporate Data Platform fundamentally re-architects how Two Sigma sources, consumes and leverages data across post-trade business processes and functional groups such as Operations, Accounting, Treasury, Funding, Compliance, Human Resources and others. The objective of the program is to deliver a golden source of distributed corporate data in a controlled and secure manner to a variety of stakeholders. This platform will enable the delivery of scalable business processes and technology solutions that will support Two Sigma’s business growth and expansion.
The Corporate Data Management Lead will be responsible for delivering the program and driving the platform on an ongoing basis. This will include:
a) Data Management – Set up processes and toolsets to proactively identify and resolve data quality issues; drive adoption within business processes; and provide data interpretation expertise
b) Program Management – Rationalize and prioritize datasets being on-boarded to the platform; work collaboratively with technology teams for project delivery; and coordinate user acceptance testing and rollout with various functional groups
c) Communication and Leadership –Collaborate across the corporate platform providing thought leadership and driving day-to-day implementation of data management strategy; represent team in large-scale cross-functional projects; and support training and change management within the organization
d) Data Analysis – Analyze datasets and build consensus between stakeholders on sourcing and calculation methodology; develop detailed documentation for implementation team; and provide 1st level support to the user community
Experience and Skills:
The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience successfully leading a Data Management group and managing the day-to-day activities of the function. (S)he will have had exposure to post-trade business processes related to multiple asset classes (equity, futures, fixed income, derivatives) preferably in an institutional investment management setting. While this is not a technical role, the individual should have a good appreciation of technical concepts, business/functional architecture and technical implications. Strong project management skills with the ability to influence cross-functionally in a rapidly evolving business environment are critical in this role.
