We’re seeking a multi-talented, intellectually curious, and process-minded individual to boost our pace and modes of data discovery and acquisition. You will work closely with our research, engineering and business colleagues across the company, as well as a vast and growing external network of established and aspiring data partners.  Your contributions will directly influence, enable and impact our research efforts.

Based in Two Sigma’s New York office, you will:

  • Proactively source, evaluate and onboard data vendors and other potential data providers
  • Identify, prioritize and develop new data partnership prospects and partnership models
  • Maintain and deepen relationships with our data partners on an ongoing basis
  • Build sustainable and scalable processes and best practices; drive day-to-day operational excellence through design, execution and improvement
  • Create and maintain internal reports to advance knowledge management and drive key workflows
  • Investigate new trends and business areas, working across a wide variety of industries on a range of topics that are important to the global investment community


Desired Skills and Experience:


  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, written and verbal
  • 3+ years of experience in financial services; sellside, buyside, or independent research; consulting; or business strategy and development.  Prior experience working with data providers and/or knowledge of the rapidly evolving data landscape is strongly preferred.
  • Creativity and rigor: demonstrated intellectual curiosity, specifically around leveraging data and technology in the financial markets
  • Flexible and practical: equally comfortable shaping open-ended questions into actionable plans and executing towards tactical objectives
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively, ensuring a high level of accuracy and efficiency
  • Execution mindset: strong work ethic, self-starter and quick-study mentality; proven ability to work independently; passion to work in a results-oriented environment
  • Process-driven: someone who thinks methodically, with due care and discipline to drive significant impact
  • Bachelor’s degree with a strong academic record
