We are seeking a dedicated, hands-on Business Analytics Lead to drive high-complexity, cross-organizational technology initiatives. You will lead the development of data analytics and reporting, driving critical decisions for Engineering, which is the largest organization within Two Sigma. You will partner with Product Management, Engineering, Finance, and Modeling teams to tackle some of the most interesting problems at the intersection of technology and finance. You will take on the following responsibilities:
  • Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, Modeling, and Corporate leaders to find opportunities, design and implement improvements, and drive high-quality, evidence-based decision-making.
  • Build and deploy tools and processes to collect, distill, and report on organizational information, such as key performance indicators and progress metrics.
  • Develop, run, and maintain automated data analytics, metrics, and reporting that link the impact of technology efforts to business outcomes.
  • Conduct non-routine analyses, including data gathering from large and sophisticated data sets, processing, and analytics, to enable the leadership team to make high-quality decisions.
  • Make business recommendations (e.g., cost-benefit analyses, forecasting), conveying findings at multiple levels—including executive leadership, managers, and peers—through visual displays of quantitative information.

You should possess the following qualifications:
  • BA/BS degree with a strong academic record (preferably in Computer Science, Information Management, Math, or Statistics).
  • Minimum 1 year of experience required; preferred 3+ years of experience with direct interaction with senior executives in business analytics, technical program management, management consulting, or finance.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, Google BigQuery.
  • Experience with dashboarding technologies such as Tableau, and project management tools such as JIRA.
  • Comfort with large datasets, data analysis, and automation in Google Sheets.
  • Experience applying strategic frameworks to business problems.

The base pay for this role will be between $125,000 and $200,000. This role may also be eligible for other forms of compensation and benefits, such as a discretionary bonus, health, dental and other wellness plans and 401(k) contributions. Discretionary bonus can be a significant portion of total compensation. Actual compensation for successful candidates will be carefully determined based on a number of factors, including their skills, qualifications and experience.
