Role Description:

The Fund Accounting team’s mission is to deliver high quality accounting services and timely financial reporting to our internal business partners as well as the Firm’s clients.  We are seeking a self-motivated and analytical individual to join the Fund Accounting team. S/he will be primarily be responsible for financial statements and other reporting for the Fund Accounting team.  Other responsibilities may include support of new business initiatives, review and approval of the daily/ weekly and monthly NAVs. 

Key responsibilities include:

Financial Reporting Lead
  • Coordinate the annual audit for 80+ funds
  • Liaise with the team, auditors and administrator to streamline the audit process
  • Prepare audit workpapers (including consolidation accounting) and financial statements 
  • Research and become subject matter expert for new accounting disclosures
  • Research and analyze accounting issues that arise from the firm’s business initiatives
  • Transition certain aspects of the annual audit process to a quarterly process
  • Identify areas for process improvements and establish efficiencies and enhanced reporting
  • Interaction with full service fund administrator, custodians and other third party service providers
Daily Support
  • Assist with day to day support of the funds
  • Review and release daily, weekly and monthly estimated RoRs prepared by the administrator 
  • Review and release the final monthly NAVs and RoRs prepared by the administrator 
  • Bachelor’s degree with a strong academic record required; CPA license preferred
  • Must have 5+ years of public accounting experience combined with industry experience
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, ability to work independently
  • Excellent organizational skills required
  • Should be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word. ArcReporting experience a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills 
  • Strong interest in technology and data science is a plus
