We are looking for two HR Business Partners: One to support our Corporate business areas, which include Two Sigma’s Corporate Operations team, as well as our Asset Management and Private Investment businesses. And one to support our Engineering function.
In these roles, you will be part of a close-knit HR business partner team and work directly with the three HR business partner leads for each area. You will be responsible for a wide range of people-related activities, work with a high level of autonomy, and interact and consult with employees and managers throughout all three organizations. Finally, you’ll collaborate with all HR functions providing insight and business context when developing new policies and procedures, rolling out new programs and processes, developing reporting, etc. These positions are located in our New York City office.
You will take on the following responsibilities:
Partner with the business partner leads to project manage and execute annual HR programs and processes - talent reviews, performance management, employee surveying/actioning and compensation, including process preparation, manager support, calibration facilitation, etc.
Consult with line managers to support their individual and/or team-related needs, including general inquiries, HR process support, facilitation of people-related efforts (e.g., team building, reorganization, etc.)
Consult with employees across the organization on topics ranging from day-to-day questions and concerns to career development; when necessary, partner with employee relations in handling sensitive issues or connecting employees to the appropriate subject matter expert
Partner with business partners and recruiting to manage open headcount process
Conduct new hire check ins and exit interviews as needed, synthesizing feedback and providing recommendations for improvement
Synthesize learnings and observations from across the organization to identify improvement areas in HR policies, programs, and processes and propose solutions for addressing them
Manage other Corporate/Engineering HR projects as necessary
Serve as point of contact with other HR teams to discuss HRBP team processes, reporting needs, etc.
Manage organizational data for the population; assist with HR reporting for leadership
You should possess the following qualifications:
3+ years experience in HR
Bachelor’s degree with a strong academic record
HR business partner or generalist experience preferred
Advanced degree in HR, business, or other related field preferred
Desire and passion to learn about the business
Critical thinking with a solutions-oriented mindset
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and cross-functional collaboration skills; high EQ
Proficient Microsoft Office skills
