We are seeking a strategic and creative storyteller to join the Marketing & Communications team as Head of Brand Content. This is a highly collaborative role that reports to the Chief Communications Officer, who leads the Two Sigma’s brand, marketing, and communications efforts. This person will be critical in shaping and amplifying Two Sigma’s brand narrative via creative and impactful content tailored to both internal and external audiences.
This is an ideal role for a passionate, hands-on content strategist who combines strategic thinking with creative execution, and is collaborative, and highly organized, with an outstanding attention to detail. A strong sense of intellectual curiosity and a willingness to build new capabilities will be key to this person’s success. This role will require a hands-on, resilient, creative and collaborative influencer and problem-solver. 


You will take on the following responsibilities: 
  • Develop a comprehensive, multi-channel content strategy that articulates the firm’s brand and furthers its business goals.
  • Lead and execute on the implementation of a content strategy from idea generation to execution, ensuring high-quality, engaging content for internal and external audiences.
  • Lead the production of content in multiple mediums including digital, video, social, podcast, etc, working with the Creative team and other members of the team, as well as agency partners and freelancers.
  • Maintain a content calendar to ensure a sustained and impactful content program that builds the brand and provides timely support to internal and external campaigns and milestones.
  • Use market research, audience insights, and performance metrics to track effectiveness and adapt content strategy/brand positioning to enhance engagement and performance.
  • Partner with Communications and Talent Brand to shape the firm's brand narrative to enhance the company’s reputation and support business, employee engagement and recruitment priorities.
  • Partner with Digital lead and others on channel growth and evolution to ensure effective delivery of brand content.
  • Establish and maintain effective and collaborative working relationships with a broad range of internal partners at all levels to ensure smooth end-to-end delivery on all content activity.
  • Lead a team of Marketing and Communications professionals responsible for brand content creation, providing direction, mentorship, standard-setting and feedback.
  • Manage budgets, timelines and resources effectively, ensuring work meets high quality standards, deadlines, and budgets.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices in communications, digital strategy and brand marketing.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards in all content and branding efforts.
You should possess the following qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Eight-plus years of experience in brand and content strategy, content creation, brand management or a related role. Experience within the investment management or technology industries strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills. Strong copywriting, storytelling, and editing capability. Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Expertise in creating and managing content strategies across a range of platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and creatively to deliver impactful storytelling via multiple mediums including editorial, video, podcasts, social, etc.
  • Deep understanding of design and copy-writing processes and experience handling external partners, including agencies and freelancers.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining the highest quality standards and delivering to deadlines. Experience in resource and budget management.
  • Experience working in a complex organizational structure; ability to partner across teams, functions, and levels of seniority in an effective manner.
  • Deep intellectual curiosity; highly collaborative and adaptable; strong desire to encourage innovation.

The base pay for this role will be between $200,000 and $300,000. This role may also be eligible for other forms of compensation and benefits, such as a discretionary bonus, health, dental and other wellness plans and 401(k) contributions. Discretionary bonus can be a significant portion of total compensation. Actual compensation for successful candidates will be carefully determined based on a number of factors, including their skills, qualifications and experience.
