We are seeking a proactive and highly organized individual to serve as the Head of Legal Operations reporting to the General Counsel. This unique role sits at the intersection of legal operations and strategic support, offering a front-row seat to legal, regulatory, and operational decision-making. The successful candidate will be supporting the General Counsel and the Legal department in legal matters, leading cross-functional initiatives, driving operational efficiency, and ensuring execution of department priorities.

You will take on the following responsibilities:
- Develop and implement systems and leverage technology to track legal department workflows, manage vendor, provide budget oversight and improve team metrics.
- Coordinate and manage law firm invoices and legal billing processes including by carefully reviewing invoices, working with external counsel billing coordinators and streamlining processes
- Draft, review, and prioritize legal documents including corporate documents, NDAs, vendor contracts, engagement letters, board resolutions, compliance documents. Maintain and prioritize corporate records, legal files, and document management systems
- Provide support to firm litigation and regulatory matters including document management and production support
- Serve as a thought partner and operational right hand to the General Counsel and senior attorneys in driving departmental priorities, communications, and strategy execution
- Coordinate Legal team meetings, agendas, action items, and follow-ups and ensure collaboration with Compliance team and other close partners
- Facilitate management of cross-functional projects involving Legal, Compliance, Operations, HR, and more
- Prepare briefing materials, presentations, and reports for senior leadership and board meetings
- Support attorneys with fund formation and governance of domestic and offshore entities including coordination with external counsel
- Provide assistance to attorneys with making regulatory productions and filings and responding to third party diligence requests
- Identify and resolve roadblocks, surface issues requiring executive input, and proactively recommend improvements
You should possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree; paralegal certificate or J.D. preferred
- 5+ years experience in a legal, paralegal, legal operations, or chief of staff role
- Experience in investment management or financial services strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of legal processes, corporate governance, and regulatory environments
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a high level of attention to detail and discretion
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure with integrity and good judgement

The base pay for this role will be between $75,000 and $150,000. This role may also be eligible for other forms of compensation and benefits, such as a discretionary bonus, health, dental and other wellness plans and 401(k) contributions. Discretionary bonus can be a significant portion of total compensation. Actual compensation for successful candidates will be carefully determined based on a number of factors, including their skills, qualifications and experience.
