Two Sigma Investments is seeking a highly motivated, intelligent, and experienced individual to serve as the Head of Physical Safety and Security for all our office locations. This position will report into the Head of Workplace Services, and will own all aspects of designing, implementing and overseeing physical safety and security for Two Sigma Investments across North America, Europe, and Asia.

You will take on the following responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day physical security and safety operations for all office locations globally

  • Develop, maintain, and improve security protocols (SOPs) for each office, including access control standards and incident response

  • Manage security guard operations and deployment across multiple office locations

  • Partner with CISO to identify, source and implement technology necessary to meet our physical security standards

  • Implement threat management programs to support the safety and well-being of employees and physical assets

  • Perform data analysis and create benchmarking to support risk assessments and threat identification and mitigation

  • Create and manage the Security operations budget 

  • Partner with internal teams (CISO, HR, BCP, Legal, Internal Communications) and other key stakeholders on incident response 

  • Maintain and manage relationships with key vendors and ensure service level agreements are met

  • Monitor and report on physical security risk to our leadership team

  • Integrate processes that drive continuous improvement for the organization as they relate to physical security

  • Ensure incidents involving physical security are fully investigated; provide incident reports and action recommendations to leadership

  • Maintain relationships with law enforcement in all locations

  • Communicate and train employees, response teams, and the security workforce on key components of physical security 

  • Develop the physical security design guidelines for all facility builds 

  • Create and present travel briefings as they relate to safety and security risks including onsite visits to all TS offices

You should possess the following qualifications:

  • Advanced degree or equivalent in an area of study relevant to this position

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience of increasing responsibility within security and/or law enforcement/intelligence/military field 

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role for a comparably sized or larger organization in private sector corporate security or a related public sector organization, with preference given to those in the technology or financial services sector

  • ASIS CPP (Certified Protection Professional), Executive Protection, and/or PSP (Physical Security Professional) certifications not required but preferred

  • International experience preferred

  • Possesses a strong reputation for honesty, integrity, and confidentiality

  • Demonstrates willingness and ability to roll up their sleeves to get the job done

  • Demonstrates ability to quickly adapt in a nuanced environment; maintain focus and a high degree of accuracy while working with complex data in an environment of ever-changing deadlines, priorities and requirements

  • Demonstrates professionalism and composure under significant pressure

  • Demonstrates excellent critical thinking, communication, interpersonal and organizational skills

  • Interfaces effectively with a wide range of members of the leadership team

  • Possess strong security technology expertise (e.g. CCTV, Access Control, GSOC technology, theft prevention technology)

  • Demonstrates ability to attract, mentor, manage, inspire, and grow teams across multiple offices
