This individual will be working on technology value creation opportunities within the Sightway Capital portfolio, and the automation and optimization of Sightway Capital’s own internal technical operations. The role involves partnering with portfolio companies to help them put in place an IT strategy, pick best of breed enterprise systems, automate their processes by integrating existing systems and building new tools as needed. The role will also work closely with Sightway Capital’s data science modeling and research team to understand the portfolio company’s business needs and put in place the data warehouse, data ingestion and other IT infrastructure needed in order to deploy analytical models.

You will take on the following responsibilities:
  • Work with the Sightway investment and portfolio operations teams to formulate the IT strategy and execution for portfolio companies
  • Communicate and drive technology change within portfolio companies
  • Select and work with third party IT service providers to implement technology projects at portfolio companies
  • Identify and technology value creation opportunities by interfacing with portfolio company executive teams and the Sightway portfolio operations team, e.g. via systems integration and process automation
  • Ability to balance business requirements, resources and timeframes, manage expectations and drive successful projects through to completion
  • Ability to communicate technical possibilities, constraints and recommendations to business leaders
  • Consult with investment and management teams to assist in screening, selecting, implementing and maintaining best in class technology solutions
  • Identify areas of deficiency and enhance processes, infrastructure and capabilities of the business 
  • Provide IT guidance to support and maintain data analytics efforts, e.g. formulating and executing a plan for implementing a data warehouse
You should possess the following qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience working in consulting and technology roles with a focus on private equity clients
  • Bachelor’s degree or greater in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
  • Experience and interest in data warehousing / ETL tools, Big Data technologies, and visualization tools 
  • Experience overseeing multiple projects including deployments, integration and migration efforts
  • A deep understanding of business technology solutions with an ability to select and implement best in class solutions
  • A broad network of technology vendors and consultants to bring best in class solutions and personnel to solve problems
  • Excellent analytical, project management and problem-solving skills
  • Self-driven individual with excellent communication skills and a collaborative working style
  • Positive attitude and desire to lead projects to completion
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to travel on a regular basis
