We are seeking an experienced and highly organized operations associate to join our Broker Dealer operations team, performing vital middle office functions and participating in projects and initiatives that will help Two Sigma Securities develop and expand this critical business. The position offers exposure to various markets and opportunities to work with several teams in the company, including Trading, Technology, Finance/Accounting and Legal/Compliance.
 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to;


  1. Working with clearing brokers and counterparties to resolve trade breaks;
  2. Daily and month end reconciliation of positions, cash and P&L versus brokers and admin;
  3. Ensuring that trading systems utilize reconciled information and that appropriate operational procedures and risk controls are set; 
  4. Monitoring and resolving locates and potential buy-ins;
  5. Analyzing and processing corporate actions;
  6. Identifying opportunities to build new tools and improve existing process flows and controls;
  7. Supporting trading desks; 
  8. Coordinating various processes and projects with the Accounting, Legal, Technology and Compliance teams;
  9. Assisting with the onboarding of new strategies and business initiatives

Requirements include:
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in economics, engineering or finance) with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2
  • 6+ years of operations experience at a broker dealer or asset management firm
  • Extensive knowledge of and experience with settlement and clearing processes for equities (domestic and international) and options. Futures and swap products experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to understand technological workflows across several platforms
  • Strong multitasking ability
  • Proficiency with MS Office products, particularly Excel
  • Understanding of risk management as it relates to trade support and trade execution
  • Demonstrated reliability, judgment and responsibility
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Series 7 or 99 license is preferred
