The Buyer is an integral member of the Procurement team and is expected to collaborate closely with the Sourcing Managers and focus on accuracy, clear communication, organization and timeliness of execution.  The Procurement team is responsible for strategic sourcing, supplier management, data & analytics, outsourcing, commercial review, contract management, financing and acquisition of broad range of products and services across the organization, subsidiaries and the affiliates.  This position will support broad range of the company’s order fulfillment and buying needs across Technology (hardware, software, telecom and cloud) as well as Professional Corporate Services with focus on HR, travel, logistics, facilities and global operations.  The Procurement Buyer will be responsible for delivering savings and value creation across the enterprise while ensuring that the products and services are not only bought for quality and in accordance with the commodity strategies, but ultimately purchased in partnership with well performing suppliers. 

The Procurement Buyer works closely with internal and external teams and supports all aspects of Procurement at Two Sigma. A successful Buyer will be defined in part by:

Other Requirements Include:

  • BA or BS in relevant field (advanced degrees preferred)
  • 3+ years of experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite with a commanding knowledge of Excel
  • Desire for growth
  • Experience in financial field and prior buying preferred
  • Familiarity with hardware, software, professional services, labor and facilities procurement/buying trends
