We are looking for a business manager for our Research team, a critical role that will help to drive our strategy forward in this key area. You’ll work with the Group Lead to determine the group’s key priorities and help eliminate bottlenecks. You’ll collaborate with the Chief Scientist and team leads to develop key business metrics and dashboards for the business, as well as working with engineering partners to help design platforms and roadmaps that increase our modeling productivity.

Areas where you will focus: 

  • Working directly with various Group Leads and team leads to develop key business metrics and dashboards 
  • Partnering with Engineering and other groups to build world-class techniques platforms across the firm
  • Researching functional activities and dependencies within the group that will lead to synergies to help strengthen collaboration
  • Creating our data-driven collaboration strategy and build out related processes
  • Developing and communicating the group strategy to diverse sets of colleagues across the team, broader research groups, and engineering partners 
  • Working closely with our Machine Learning Platform team to increase the user base for our products
  • Collaborating to help improve modeling standards

We would like to see you have the following attributes:  

  • An analytical and process-oriented approach to solving problems
  • Strong written and verbal communicator with experience creating meeting and presentation materials
  • Familiarity with quantitative finance, machine learning, and AI techniques is a plus
  • Strong project management and relationship management skills 
  • Experience working in or closely with any Quantitative Research group is highly valued 
  • Ability to solve problems and inform decisions using a metrics-driven approach
  • Maintain effective two-way communication with senior stakeholders and partners

Requirements: 

  • 7 – 10 years of relevant working experience 
  • Experience working with researchers, product managers, and engineers
