Role Description:

The Fund Accounting team’s mission is to deliver high quality accounting services and timely financial reporting to our internal business partners as well as the Firm’s clients.  We are seeking a self-motivated and analytical Senior Fund/Portfolio Accountant to join the Finance team. S/he will be responsible for delivering on strategic platform level automation projects, financial reporting and dashboards. His/ her responsibilities will also include working with the Fund Accounting day-to-day team on efficiency projects and supporting new business initiatives. 

Key responsibilities include: 
  • Contribute to the design and development of major efficiency and reporting solutions
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Project Manager to develop user-friendly solutions using the appropriate tools for Fund Accounting processes
  • Liaise with project managers to deliver on specific project objectives
  • Work with business analysts and team to develop requirements
  • Design and develop useful and visually appealing dashboards and reports
  • Optimize and maintain existing dashboards and reports
  • Aim to have continuous improvement of data quality, standardization of data management processes, efficiency, and quality of service 
  • Support organizational decision-making by effectively analyzing financial data and provide concise and actionable information
Requirements: 
  • 8+ years progressive Fund Accounting experience
  • CPA license required
  • Self-motivated and a strong work ethic, ability to work independently
  • Personality, mindset and collaborative approach – ability to work well with a wide range of individuals
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills 
  • Should be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint
  • Demonstration of high analytical capacity and intellectual curiosity
  • Strong interest in technology and data science is a plus
  • Self-awareness, maturity and irreproachable integrity
