Job Location: 100 Avenue of the Americas, New York, NY 10013

Note: Company “Hybrid” work attendance policy: In-office work attendance required at the aforementioned office address for collaboration days based on each team’s requirement; telecommuting/working from home is permissible for remainder of the same month.

Duties: Engineer, enhance, and support complex, large-scale, performant, and secure software systems for security control, including but not limited to authentication, authorization, access control, and privileged session management. Engineer and architect security solutions to protect the company from internal and external security threats using the latest encryption and software reliability methodologies. Design and engineer various software system components for enhanced security. Integrate and support security-related features in their software applications. Maintain, enhance, and develop/engineer software pipelines to simplify operational aspects of the team such as creating new releases, application health monitoring, and other alerting. Improve testability of security-related software systems, including more thorough software test code coverage and integration tests to improve product quality. Participate in on-call support and incident response rotation for security enforced pipelines and products. Rewrite, re-engineer, and/or decommission existing software applications and infrastructure to reduce technical debt.

Minimum education required: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related Information Technology field.

Skills required: Must have knowledge of the following software skills and technologies: Python, C/C++, and Bash; RPC frameworks (REST); Linux/Unix operating systems; front-end software development; database design and SQL language queries; networking concepts including TCP/UDP; computer security concepts including authentication and authorization; cryptography concepts including hash function; unit testing and software integration testing; version control (Git); software architectural design; and data structures and algorithms. Must also pass company’s required skills assessment.

Base salary: The base pay for this role will be between $165,000 and $325,000 per year. This role may also be eligible for other forms of compensation and benefits, such as a discretionary bonus, health, dental, and other wellness plans and 401(k) contributions. Discretionary bonus can be a significant portion of total compensation. Actual compensation for successful candidates will be carefully determined based on a number of factors, including their skills, qualifications, and experience.
