The Solution Architect (“SA”) stands at the heart of our customer development lifecycle. Curious, business minded, and technology oriented, SA’s are problem solvers, capable of distilling complex business problems into technical solutions and translating solutions into value propositions to facilitate the pre-sales efforts.

At its core, this role is about uncovering dots and - without knowing the shape they form – figuring out how to connect them. Our customers come to us with a hunch that technology and data can help them improve profitability and make more informed business decisions. Solution Architects are responsible for turning that hunch into reality. Your job is to synthesize disconnected streams of thought into a cohesive understanding of what the problem is, what the data means, what the product needs, what users are motivated by, and where the impact could be. On any given day, you are strategizing with client executives, hosting design thinking workshops with end users, designing solutions with data scientists and engineers, crafting commercial proposals with the sales team and developing the product roadmap with product managers.

This role is an opportunity to embed deeply in a unique and fast growing company. TSIQ’s technical team has doubled in size every year since inception. However, the customer development team is a lean team that wears a lot of hats, you are expected to constantly deal with new business challenges and learnings on the job. As a result, we are looking for mission-driven teammates who can jump into multiple client engagements with enthusiasm.

You will take on the following responsibilities:

  • Pre-Sales: Own the solution designing stage of the sales process (pre-sale) with prospects of various technical levels

  • Implementation: Manages the work of the technical team assigned to the customer ensuring the agreed upon solution is implemented.

  • Product Strategy: Collaborate closely with our engineering, data science and product teams to incorporate what you saw in the field into differentiated TSIQ product offerings

  • Product Marketing: Build and deliver demos to new and existing customers

  • Business Development: Work closely with sales, marketing and leadership teams to formulate the go to market strategy and shepherd engagements from initial meetings to contract signing

  • Technical SME: Develop deep expertise in TSIQ products and their use cases, P&C insurance knowledge, existing and potential customers needs

  • Communication: Clearly communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences

You should possess the following qualifications:

  • Extraordinary ability to take on open-ended problems in unstructured environments. Understand how to clearly and concisely identify and frame problems and expose the underlying challenges

  • Adaptive and introspective; willing to learn, teach, lead and follow

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to adjust communications across multiple audiences

  • Strong judgement and decision making skills; ability to re-prioritize, adjust and course correct as necessary

  • Cross team collaboration and relationship building

  • Utilize data to gain insights, identify opportunities and build consensus

  • 10+ years of sales engineering/solutions architect experience in a software development environment preferably in the insurance space; 3+ years leading the function

  • Strong technical, product, and business communication skills

  • Experience with full stack software engineering a plus

  • Previous consulting experience a plus

You will enjoy the following benefits:

  • Core Benefits: Fully paid medical and dental insurance premiums for employees and dependents, 401k match, employer-paid life & disability insurance
  • Perks: Onsite gyms with laundry service, wellness activities, casual dress, snacks, game rooms
