The mission of the Strategy & Corporate Development team is to apply creativity, rigor, and collaboration to conceive and execute the business growth of Two Sigma’s core investment management and affiliate businesses. We work cross-functionally to define where and how Two Sigma should compete. Our team partners closely with affiliate businesses including Two Sigma Securities, Venn, Insurance Quantified, Two Sigma Real Estate, Two Sigma Ventures and Sightway Capital in Two Sigma to help our affiliates scope and achieve their organic growth goals as well as explore strategic alternatives. 

In this role, you will make meaningful contributions across a diverse array of projects and will be encouraged to develop broad skills in business strategy, corporate development and operational excellence. You will take on the following responsibilities: 
  • Strategic projects to define the future of Two Sigma and how we get there
  • Partnership - working cross functionally with affiliate management teams to help them define and execute on opportunities to unlock value for the firm
  • Strategic investments - sourcing, conducting diligence on and completing deals and managing investments post-acquisition
  • Incubation of new businesses: working on exciting growth initiatives from conception to execution
  • Partnerships with other leading firms to drive strategic outcomes
You should possess the following qualifications:  
  • 2-5 years of experience in roles in M&A investment banking, management consulting or asset management, functioning in a strategy, chief of staff or corporate development capacity. Experience working with or investing in software, market making and/or private investment businesses is preferred, but not required
  • Rigorous analytical skills - including building financial models, valuation analysis, performing competitive research and benchmarking, market segmentation and sizing
  • Excellent project management skills - track record of coordinating and successfully delivering several concurrent high-quality, cross-functional projects with explicit timelines
  • Self-motivated and a strong work ethic and an ability to work independently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • High standard of ethics, integrity and professionalism
  • Familiarity with PitchBook, Preqin and CapIQ a plus
  • CFA candidate or charterholder preferred
  • BA/BS degree with a strong academic record

The base pay for this role will be between $125,000 and $175,000. This role may also be eligible for other forms of compensation and benefits, such as a discretionary bonus, health, dental and other wellness plans and 401(k) contributions. Discretionary bonus can be a significant portion of total compensation. Actual compensation for successful candidates will be carefully determined based on a number of factors, including their skills, qualifications and experience.
