What You Will Experience:

The Business & Corporate Development team is responsible for developing partnerships and creating new ventures with incumbent and emerging companies in the insurance industry. We develop and evaluate opportunities across existing and future markets, drive management team decisions to execution, and help manage post-execution integration and performance. You will be joining a small yet elite team fully focused on the mission outlined above.

Three Primary Objectives of the Position:

  • Provide insight to drive intelligent decision-making through strong quantitative skills, strategic thinking, and business judgment
  • Maintain a clear understanding of TSIQ business priorities and execute accordingly
  • Support all aspects of the business and corporate development effort. Assist in streamlining and scaling the team’s capabilities

In this role, you will:

  • Be a critical member of the Business and Corporate Development team
  • Develop a deep understanding of the competitive landscape and industry offerings to inform our positioning (inclusive of insurance, insurtech, fintech, and tech)
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of prospective partners across all areas of interest
  • Create framing reports for partnerships and other new initiatives, and help define the target state, commercial partnership construct and success criteria
  • Understand and stay current on internal product development efforts
  • Support business case creation and valuation models for partnerships or M&A activity, including key performance, measurement, and reporting frameworks
  • Analyze insurtech start-up deal flow to understand imminent disruptions and identify tech acceleration opportunities
  • Create thought leadership material to amplify our efforts and insights derived through our research

You will be effective if you have:

  • 1+ years experience in management consulting, technology-focused corporate strategy function, corporate development, or investment banking in the technology industry
  • Education: record of academic success; bachelor’s degree from a top university
  • Passion for technology and science as evidenced by professional or academic accomplishments in STEM
  • Demonstrate a high level of skill in the creation of compelling briefing materials, report writing, and preparation of presentations
  • A desire to work in a collaborative and dynamic entrepreneurial environment
  • Prepared industry analyses and presentations, and presented to senior management
