UI (USER INTERFACE) DESIGNER

Duties: Design and implement customer research graphic design tools including web based graphic research tools; work closely with the product management team to ensure the right set of graphic features are being exposed appropriately in the computer UI web system; experiment with novel UX design, including paper and live testing of different user interfaces; create and design highly polished graphic UI designs and visual interaction models; work closely with software developers to implement graphic UI designs; work with data scientists to create and design unique ways of graphically visualizing and interacting with the large amounts of data available in the product; create and design graphic Marketing material, copy, artwork, presentations, demos, etc. to help promote and market the product through the use of state of the art visual/graphic designs; design graphic Web User Interfaces for heavily-used internal tools; develop and document recommendations and examples for others to use in building graphic UIs; design and develop graphics for product illustrations, logos, and websites, including color, images, text style, and layout; work with design solutions being challenged and debated and identify when to defend decisions or accept valuable feedback and iterate accordingly; independently lead design focused specs and collaborate closely on product and engineering led specs; prepare high-quality design artifacts (flow diagrams, wireframes, prototypes, low to high fidelity mocks) that clearly articulate concepts for use in a variety of situations and mediums and run appropriate usability testing to prove concepts; promote design consistency across all aspects and features in the product; understand U.S. accessibility regulations and advocate accessibility requirements.
Minimum education required: Diploma in Graphic Design
Minimum experience required: 4 years of experience in Graphic Design positions with experience in the following:
Adobe Creative Suite;
Experience working alongside stakeholders, product managers, and developers;
Experience designing and shipping enterprise software experiences;
Experience performing digital UI design for consumer and enterprise products;
Complete product lifecycle experience;
Knowledge of usability studies and experience running usability labs;
Knowledge of U.S. accessibility regulations and ability to support engineers in understanding the requirements; and
Experience completing detailed QA testing processes.
