We are seeking a skilled and experienced Windows Desktop Engineer to serve as a primary provider of Windows desktop platforms and technologies at Two Sigma. You will take on the following responsibilities:
- Architect, engineer, implement, and maintain Windows client platforms across physical and virtual endpoints to meet business needs and enhance user experience.
- Improve, automate, and standardize our Windows desktop environment using PowerShell to ensure efficiency and scalability.
- Lead all aspects of the lifecycle management including the vetting, packaging, and deployment of enterprise-level applications and drivers.
- Leverage SCCM to develop desktop images and ensure operating system compliance by driving regular updates, including vulnerability assessments and remediation.
- Participate in a daily triage and on-call rotation to address and resolve requests and serve as an escalation point for more complex issues in the Windows environment.
You should possess the following qualifications:
- BS/BA degree in a computer science, engineering, or related field
- Minimum 7 years of experience required; preferred 10+ years of demonstrable experience in building and managing Windows client platforms
- Advanced knowledge of Windows 10 & 11 operating systems
- Strong expertise in configuration management tools such as SCCM and Azure
- Good understanding of Active Directory, DNS, Kerberos and Group Policies
- Proficiency with using PowerShell to automate deployments, configurations, and monitor environments
- Ability to solve hardware, operating system, application, and network issues
- Proven track record in successfully leading and delivering large-scale projects in a complex enterprise environment

The base pay for this role will be between $200,000 and $300,000. This role may also be eligible for other forms of compensation and benefits, such as a discretionary bonus, health, dental and other wellness plans and 401(k) contributions. Discretionary bonus can be a significant portion of total compensation. Actual compensation for successful candidates will be carefully determined based on a number of factors, including their skills, qualifications and experience.
