We are seeking an operations professional to join the growing Shanghai office.  In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of the trading lifecycle, performing vital middle office functions and participating in projects and initiatives that help further develop this critical business activity. 

You will take on the following responsibilities:

  • Operations: 

    • Ensuring that trading systems are utilizing reconciled information and that all operational procedures and risk controls are set

    • Reviewing reconciliation of trades, positions, cash, prices, P&L, etc. across all counterparties

    • Researching and resolving breaks

    • Reviewing / releasing P&L to various internal business groups

    • Coordinating various processes and guidelines with the Operations, Operations Engineering, Accounting, Financial Resources Management, Legal, and Compliance teams in Two Sigma offices outside of China (e.g., New York, Houston, Hong Kong) 

    • Supporting business initiatives such as onboarding new counterparties, launching new funds, and trading new securities

    • Overseeing cash management and daily margin processes 

  • Fund accounting: 

    • Working together with 3rd party auditors, fund administrator, custodian(s), and other third party service providers to prepare reporting, such as audit workpapers, investor reporting, and financial statements 

    • Performing day-to-day accounting support of the funds

    • Reviewing and releasing daily, weekly and monthly estimated and final RoRs and NAVs prepared by the administrator 

You should possess the following qualifications:

  • Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English

  • 2-5 years of operations experience at an asset management firm, prime broker, or fund administrator

  • Operations experience with equities and bonds is a plus

  • Fund accounting experience is a plus

  • AMAC “Exam for Fund Practicing Qualification” is a plus

  • Bachelor's degree from a top university 

  • Extensive experience with MS Office

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to details 

  • Strong problem solving/critical thinking abilities 

  • Strong ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in addition to daily responsibilities
